now it’s already time to place the steam shelter. it had been best to start in sleeping room as then it’s not necessary to move half of the isolation packages. it’s a bid a logistical decision. what’s difficult is holding the steam shelter proper, while standing in 1 meter height, while holding the 22×100 battens and finally shooting them with the heavy nailing gun and it’s superior work protection installation. you won’t need a work out by the end of the day. however… once that’s finished placing the isolation is quite easy, as it’s much better possible to place that: no stupid windshield paper and proper measures w/o too much custom cut work.

ps: hey… somebody knows where i can rent an octopus? please get in touch. it’s urgent. it’s quite difficult to work w/o any help on this.

terve, today the bath tube finally arrived (with almost 2 months delay!). well… at least the price had been a steal. i did also install some isolation within the interior walls to reduce the amount of packages in the house.

terve, today i installed the battens in the entrance area as well as osb-plates onto them. i managed to finish the whole entrance and floor area. next was installing the battens within the bath and sauna. i had to stop installing the osb-plates in sauna as the nailing gun went out of munition… well, things are pre-cut now and will be fixed tomorrow within the first minutes of work. parallel to us peter did continue doing the bath installation. he spent the morning to install the main floor stand for the later bath installation. by the afternoon he continued working finalizing the guest toilet.

terve, today the roofer installed two ventilation tubes as well as the kitchen exhaust. it had been around 10.30 o’clock when he started. he had been year-end-finalizing several houses today and the plusvilla was one of the house which needed some work. the staff worked for about 2 hours. parallel i was testing the chimney by making a real fire. this allowed me to close the last open floor areas within the entrance and technic room. i couldn’t do this earlier, as folks first needed to instal the tubes etc. …

today i had lots of new snow and still -10 degrees. we all went up to the site for a quick burn-in for the chimney. this had also been the first time steffi had been able to see the chimney in reality.

moi, as we had -17 degrees this morning i refused to work.

winter arrived in germany. we had -3 degrees this morning when i brought the ventilation exhaust for the kitchen to the site. right now we are at -8 degrees. so i suppose tomorrow will become pretty cold on the site. please not the stainless steel exhaust for the chimney on the roof.

moi, today folks of kamin deele finished the main work on the chimney. i will write more about the whole procedure within the next days when i have received better pictures. unfortunately the last white finish hasn’t been done due to the low temperatures. this will be finalized as soon as temperatures will becoming a bit better.

terve, here are the pics of day no. 2 working at the chimney. it had been freezing here so that work was pretty tough. unfortunately one of the guys did had to buy the farm and became ill. hope he feels better now.

terve, today folks of kamin deele started working on the chimney. i did inspect the site during the evening at around 6 p.m. … and took some pics from outside. you can already recognize the foundation of the chimney and the chimney sitting on top of it.
